Tiny tail, big heart

Add this guy to the list of adoptees I’d have if I ever had a place large enough. He has an amazing story and sounds like a total hoot. Gor this from Putnam Felines, a volunteer rescue group. Take it away:
Simpson is an adorable, orange neutered male kitten about 5 months old who has had his immunizations and is ready for adoption. Putnam Felines has provided love, good food, vet care and a micro-chip for an adoption fee of $75. To adopt him, you will be asked to keep him as an indoor cat and be patient until his shyness goes away.
He is the cutest little guy with a stump of an orange tail that stands straight up as he plays and runs about. Considering his early life as a stray it is miraculous he is such a happy kitten. After Putnam Felines rescued him he was not very interested in making friends and would cry out, thrash around and frantically chew on his tail. No one knew what to do for him until a wonderful vet at Simpson Clinic took the time to observe him and make a diagnosis. Nerves in his tail had been left exposed from the many wounds he had sustained trying to compete for food as a tiny stray. The exposed nerves were causing unbearable throbbing pain and, in order to alleviate the pain, most of his tail had to be surgically removed.

He is really cute. Laurel, you keep coming up with these graphic stories. No wonder only people with some medical background can come back and post:)
There has been a bunch lately, don’t know why…..next one will have all his or her parts.
Laurel, I didn’t fully get the last comment on father blog about new best friends.
