Shine on Harvest Moon

November
13

Got this from P&C friend Bonnie, who’s hoping to find a home for this interestingly-named but very adorable kitty. As Bonnie says, “Harvest Moon is less than 1 year old, but has probably experinced a lifetime while she was a stray. Found in Garrison by a wonderful couple who kept feeding her and wanted to try to get her inside. We weren’t sure what we would find and boy were we surprised when Harvest Moon turned out to be one of the most mellow, sweet cats we had ever met. Basically she is beautiful on the outside and beautiful on the inside – she gets along with other cats (althought I wouldn’t say she is exactly cuddly – she just sort of tolerates them) – We have not had her in contact with our dog but she seems curious through the door. She loves to lay right next to you and purr all day long.  Harvest is spayed and up to date on all her shots, She is FIV and leukemia negative – very healthy and happy lady.”

If you’re interested in giving this girl a home, call Bonnie at 914-737-6020 or e-mail her at bonnieberry123@gmail.com. The adoption fee is $75.

Laurel, how do you find all this stuff? The previous post was making me sick, btw. Could there be any motive to what this predator was trying to accomplish?
I’m staying away from father blog. That ALF is taking too much space and the guys still don’t get it.
Do you ever go to the games?

Just good old-fashioned intrepid journalism. Plus, folks send me stuff.

Yes, as much I adore father blog, it’s sometimes like dealing with a kindergarten class. You say behave, they say OK, then run back and poke someone.

I rarely get to games, sadly. Haven’t been in forever.

You see, if ALF wasn’t there, I’d tell the guys this true story:
My father, 83, had to have an emergency cardiac cath this morning at my hosptal( he is OK, thanks). So he wakes up after procedure and tells me two things:1) I want something to drink. 2). I can’t believe the defense they played last night!

I can’t post it there, the last thing I need is ALF making comments about my dad.

I’d like to think even he wouldn’t do that, but yeah, better safe…..I’m glad he’s OK, and that’s an outstanding story!

About this blog
For most animal lovers, pets are members of the family. They carry around pictures in their wallets and schedule vacations with pets in mind. This blog takes a look into the world of a pet owner: the good, the bad and the just plain obsessive.

About the author
Laurel Babcock is the Community Life editor for The Journal News, Express Publications and LoHud.com. She grew up with a beloved mutt and was surrounded by dogs into young adulthood. She liked cats enough, but didn't really think of them as true pets. That changed when her brother brought an abandoned 4-week-old kitty into the family, dooming us all. Laurel currently serves as staff for two completely adored cats, Stanley and Cup, both girls.
