Spike update

She’s a pound! And close to celebrating her 7-week birthday. Sheesh, this kitty kills me with her adorableness. Had the great pleasure the other night of holding and playing with her, and feeding her, for a couple of hours. Oh heaven. She is so alert, loves to be looked at, give kisses, nibble and wrestle. She can also get around on her own. Here she is in a little basket with her blankie, and she gets in all by herself like a big girl!

I added a pic of me feeding her at the end. 10-31-09_2142

Come on Spike, show us your beautiful eyes…10-31-09_2143

Now we’re in a favorite position…let’s wrestle and play!10-31-09_2144

I told Diane, if I don’t end up with Spike, here’s the deal. Whoever adopts her has to let me have visitation rights. Compress0(2)

About this blog
For most animal lovers, pets are members of the family. They carry around pictures in their wallets and schedule vacations with pets in mind. This blog takes a look into the world of a pet owner: the good, the bad and the just plain obsessive.

About the author
Laurel Babcock is the Community Life editor for The Journal News, Express Publications and LoHud.com. She grew up with a beloved mutt and was surrounded by dogs into young adulthood. She liked cats enough, but didn't really think of them as true pets. That changed when her brother brought an abandoned 4-week-old kitty into the family, dooming us all. Laurel currently serves as staff for two completely adored cats, Stanley and Cup, both girls.
