New photos from the marsh (claws no paws)
Well, kind of new. But I figure it’s time to take them out of e-mail and onto the blog in honor of Teri’s birthday, which is today, since she took the pictures down South. First, happy birthday Teri! Second, a wood stork. As Teri says, “A wood stork somehow caught a large fish yesterday. You can see that it was too big to swallow but the stork was determined not to let it’s prize go. I think the stork must have finally abandoned
it because there were a group of vultures over there this morning.”
And third, a gator, giving a big yawn (I hope) in the sun. Personally, I think Spike’s yawn is way cuter!
And lastly, (and this is new!) Teri writes about this picture, “I’ve not seen this before. Ibis gathering in the shade.”
