Hey all! How was your week? Missed the blog, but otherwise mine was fabulous, I must say, except for my Rangers on Friday. Although, hey Linda, Sally, CCCP et al, I met Beukeboom that night! Whee.
So, here is a picture of what Paws and Claws has been doing:
But now we are like this:
Ha! Get it, the blog was sleeping now it’s wide awake….oh, OK, shut up Laurel….
Anyway, just so you know, that was not Cup all alert in that photo. That is Shibi, who belongs to my Rangers Report friend CCCP. More on Shibi later…but doesn’t he look like my girl? (Though Cup’s white chest marking is a perfect heart, my little love
So, lots to catch up on. Back tomorrow with the regular gig.

Hey all, please don’t abandon ship this week, but I’ll be off on furlough, which means I can’t blog. Unlike last time, this past week was crazy busy and I didn’t have time to set up advance posts (hey, I do this for fun. I only wish this could be what pays the rent
So I apologize for the upcoming silence, but chat among yourselves or scroll through and check out some posts you may have missed. I’ll be back at April 27.
Have a great week.

Linda now lives in Alabama, but very much misses New York during playoff hockey. Here is her adorable kitty Dixie, who Linda referred to as the Southern Sean Avery (note to non-hockey P and C folks. Avery is a Ranger. He’s a long story. ‘Nuf said).
I’d quip that Dixie is shown here exhausted after watching Game 2, but truth is Linda says this is an old pic. And Linda, that is one heck of a couch!

My pal Diane, from the previous post on feral cats, is seeking a foster home for some kitties. I don’t remember how many babies the mom has, but you can reach Diane at diterezakis@optonline.net for information.
Now, full disclosure, and a smallllll world story. How do I know Diane has these cats needing foster care? Read more of this entry »

Got this from Diane Terezakis, who does local “TNR” (trap/neuter/return) for feral cats in Westchester County. She’s hoping, in her words, “to educate the public…to motivate them into action, as well as to solicit more people to get in touch with me and other volunteer groups to TNR ferals the community sees.
Well, of course we here at P and C said we’d help. After the jump is some handy information and contacts I suggest you clip and save (or bookmark and save, whatever). To reach Diane, e-mail her at diterezakis@optonline.net.
Quick aside by me: it’s assumed those kittens who were burned in Mount Vernon were the babies of a feral cat. All the more reason to read what Diane has to say. And it’s good info, even if you don’t live in Westchester. Take it away Diane: Read more of this entry »

Yes, it’s Stanley Cup playoff time! I was amused to discover some Rangers fans talking about their cats while conversing (a loosely used word there) during the game on our Rangers Report blog here at LoHud. Seems most fans’ cats run from the room or under the bed during those times in the game when caring about your neighbors and noise just don’t matter.
Hah! Not my babies! Here is Stanley catching up on Rangers Report during first intermission:
I swear, I didn’t set that up. Read more of this entry »

I admit to be late to the party, but what the heck. Here’s Bo Obama, the new first pup, the White House big dog, etc., etc., along with photos of him and his new family. You can also read Journal News columnist Noreen O’Donnell’s take on the biggest pet adoption news to hit the nation right here. Hello Bo! Who’s that you’re running with?
What a good looking boy!
