Paws 'n' Claws

The place for pets, and their owners

Stanley

Cup got her 15 minutes of fame a while back, and now it’s Stanley’s turn. While going through the pics from the West Coast trip, found these that I took of Stanley being adorable.

While this perch doesn’t exactly let her view the world, for whatever reason that is uniquely hers, Stan love going on top of the fridge. Where she goes from there is a whole other story to come another time. All I’ll say now is, note the verrry thin door by her ear. Hey baby! Any yoga fans out there? I’ve just started. Here is why this move is called upward cat (I think). Anyway, note the stretch. Now here we go closer…

I love this photo. Little body and big ears…that’s my Stan.

An aside, if you can make out the picture on the fridge to the right of Stanley, that’s my Mom holding and petting a newborn chick at a market in Arles from a trip to France many, many years ago. We bought fresh bread, cheese, tomato and wine and picnicked under a nearby tree in a park. Best. Lunch. Ever.

Back to business. Last close-up of Stanley. One of the reasons I feel in love with her as a baby was the half black/half white of her face. That and her ears and her little bug eyes, still gets to me every day.
