Bones, not a solo guy after all

January
29

In two of our recent weekly publications, I introduced people to sweet Bones, an 8-month-old Flia/mastiff mix. Look at this mug!I introduce him to you now only because he’s worthy of a home, but to change some info the shelter provided last week.

Turns out Bones does not need to be the only dog in the house, he likes canine company! Here’s the bare bones on Bones. Spread the word….

Bones has a lot of puppy in him and he needs an experienced owner who is willing to work with him. He likes some other dogs and would do well with an alpha female. He also loves the company of people. He will grow to be a big guy with a big heart. Bones is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $125. To adopt Bones, or another dog or cat, stop by the SPCA of Westchester, 590 N. State Road in Briarcliff Manor. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Call 914-941-2896, Ext. 11.

That’s a very expensive adoption fee. sound more like a kennel dog charge. Most worthy shelters charge under 100 dollars.

Steve, thanks so much for the e-mail. His fee has actually been way reduced. It’s now $125 and I’ve since updated this item .
