Christmas goes to the dogs

December
26

But in a good way! Spent Christmas day at a family friend’s house who has six, count em six dogs, all precious. Of course, knowing I’d be spending the day with six dogs, did I bring my camera? No. So all I managed to get were these cell phone pics.

This here is Glen, the only man in the bunch.

I adore Glen. He’s my buddy. Or, as his mom Pat says, he’s everybody’s buddy. He’s deaf as a stone, but the sweetest pooch you’d ever want to meet.

Next up, sisters Scout and Kate.

I wish this picture wasn’t so far away because they are beyond adorable in it. These gals are sheep herders. They love playing outside, and spent most of yesterday frolicking in the snow. This is them waiting for me to throw them their toy balls. ‘Nuther stupid I thing I did: knowing I’d be playing outside with dogs in snow. Didn’t wear boots.

Lastly, here’s my pal Scout.

Again, wish I had a better picture. I kept missing when Scout would cock her in head in through the dog door, her way of saying, c’mon, we’re waiting for you. Scout cracked me up all day popping and out of the door, conning me into going outside. Me, being the sucker in chief, complied.

Note to self for next year: camera and boots

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas. Pets appreciate your gift of giving and do not require an IPod and multiple other useless gifts under the tree…......just a nice big steak bone!
Don’t forget boots and camera next year…....unless of course next year could be spent way up north with new pet!!!!!!
    Keep um guessing.
